The private lessons are taught face to face with Hajime Kinoko and can be scheduled at any time.

Unlike group lessons, Hajime Kinoko teaches private lessons face to face, therefore his attention is continuous, and so you are much less likely to develop bad habits. As a result, your shibari technique will be smoother and ties more beautiful, and you will progress at a much faster pace.

This is a workshop that teaches the rope tanning method practiced by Hajime Kinoko.
By taking this course, you will learn how to create ropes that are less prone to fraying, have a smooth surface, and feel incredibly pleasant when in contact with the model's skin.

Do you know what type of oil to use and how much is appropriate?
Are you familiar with an efficient method for the "suri-nameshi" technique that minimizes fraying without damaging the rope's surface?
Are you accidentally damaging the rope during the kebayaki (burning the fuzz) process?
In the beginning, rope tanning is almost certain to fail without guidance from an experienced person.
Additionally, this workshop will also teach you how to create a new rope end using the Matthew Walker knot.

In this workshop, you can learn the secret rope tanning techniques that Hajime Kinoko has developed through 26 years of shibari experience.
The workshop is taught by an official instructor who holds the Ichinawa-Kai teaching license, having fully mastered this technique directly from Hajime Kinoko. However, if you wish, you can also receive direct instruction from Hajime Kinoko himself.

Anyone who completes the full course taught in the Ichinawa classroom will become an official teacher certified by Hajime Kinoko.

If you pass the specified curriculum taught in the Ichinawa classroom or private lessons, you can become an official instructor approved by Hajime Kinoko. There are people who teach people about my Shibari even though they are not official. It may be true that you learned it from me, but I don't know if someone who is not a certified instructor can do it correctly. Regarding the official curriculum, it is divided into 10 to 1 level contents and advanced course, and you need to study from level 10 content.

There is a test for each level, and students who graduate from level 1 will receive a diploma. If Hajime Kinoko determines that you are suitable to be a teacher and he asks you to do so, you will be able to participate in the Ichinawa Classroom as a teacher. (There are rewards and other benefits) If you teach at least 10 times, you can obtain a Type 2 License that allows you to teaching up to Level 3 content.

Foreigners living overseas and domestic people living 100km away from Tokyo can obtain a Type 2 License by attending one or more classes as an instructor. Thereafter, upon completion of the advanced training sessions (even if you are a quick learner, it will take more than 32 hours.) in private lessons, passing an examination, and being certified as having the appropriate character to teach, the student will be awarded a Level 1 Associate Instructor's License to teach from Level 10 to Level 1.

After obtaining a Type 1 license for private lessons, students must take a specified number of additional advanced training sessions (40 hours on average), pass an examination, and if they are deemed to have the right character to be an instructor, they can obtain a Type 1 instructor's license that allows them to teach all the techniques taught by Hajime Kinoko. It can take more than 60 hours for a slow learner. If you live overseas, you can invite Hajime Kinoko to your country for lessons, or he can come to Tokyo for lessons.

*The average time for a high-level course for a semi-dual license is 32 hours, and the average time for express training for a first-class license is 40 hours, but this is just a guide as there are individual differences. Some people get their licenses faster, while others are slower and take twice as long.

Regarding License Types
There are three types of instructor licenses as follows:

Type 2 License: Allows teaching up to Level 3 content.

Conditions: Passing the Level 1 curriculum and being recognized as suitable by the Licensor as an instructor, and then having gained the required instructor experience.

Quasi-Type 1 License: Allows teaching up to Level 1 content.

Conditions: Completion of a specified number of advanced training sessions (typically after acquiring the Type 2 License
and completing the Level 1 curriculum, even if you are a quick learner, it will take more than 32 hours.). There is an examination to demonstrate two techniques learned in the advanced training.

Type 1 License: Allows teaching all techniques learned from Hajime Kinoko.

Conditions: Completion of a specified number of additional advanced training sessions (typically after obtaining the Quasi-Type 1 License,even if you are a quick learner, it will take more than 40 hours.). There is an examination to demonstrate one technique and eight types of transitions learned.

*The length of the special training course for Quasi-Type 1 License and Type 1 License is 32 hours or more and 40 hours or more, respectively. However, this is only a guideline as there are individual differences between students. Some individuals may take twice as long.
*Only the Licensor can issue an instructor's license, and the person who holds the license cannot issue it to their students.
*As the course content of the Ichinawa curriculum is updated and improved every year, the instructor's license must be renewed once every two years.
